Lady Blossom Institute of Home Science

Lady blossom Institute of Home Science was started in 1994. The center has several traditional and creative craft works. Lady blossom is run by Mrs.Sudha Unnikrishnan, Fevicryl expert teacher. There are training classes for cookery and baking, art and crafts, tailoring and embroidery. Individual attention is given to each student. The class timing is from 10am to 3.30pm. The class is conducted for ladies and girls at the center located in Palakkad, close to Govt.Victoria college. Course duration varies from 1 month to 6 months, depending on items selected.

The Exhibition was conducted as a part of 10th and 17th year anniversary. Participated in exhibitions conducted by Chitrakala Trust, AIWC, Mathrubhumi Grihalakshmi Vedi, Lioness Club of Palakkad Etc.

Cookery demonstrations were done in various organizations including AIWC, Lioness Club, Inner wheel, YWCA, Mercy College, Matrubhumi Grihalakshmi Vedi, OAISCA women's Chapter. Classes are taken for the students of Mercy college, Palakkad & SNGC College, Chavadi, Coimbatore.

Training for self employment for ladies are given.

Embossing, engraving, copper engraving, wood carving.

Mural Painting

Mural painting on canvas, Ajantha mural, Mural on Sarees and other mediums like glass & pot.

Pot Painting

Mexican pot, Turkish pot, Smoked pot, Meenakari pot etc.

Artificial Jewellery making with stones, clay, paper etc. 

Basic course, Advance course and crystal fantasy, etc are the courses in jewellery making.

Cookery Class 

Basic cookery, party cooking, baking and confectionery, ice cream and pudding, chocolate. It also includes South Indian and North Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Lebanese, Thai and Continental.

Certificates will be issued after the successful completion of each course.
